Quadzilla Can MOVE

 Many people slave through workouts with the intent of looking better.  I think this is a byproduct of society today. We are bombarded with images that show that beautiful things can make us happy and feel fulfilled. In my experience, looking your best is only achieved when FEELING your best shines inside out. I have to be honest, I have expensive taste and a constant desire to adorn myself with superficial additions as proven through my Athleta and Lululemon accounts, and my constant striving for the perfect Balayage hairstyle…but that is the Girlie Girl in me….and its only the icing on the cake when it comes to feeling like I am putting my best self forward.

I feel my best when I perform my best. This can be attributed to the accomplishment and pride when i crush a goal and the endorphin’s and other hormones that swim through me all day long and give me the everlasting feeling of vitality and zestfulness, and the ability to always progress with my workouts because they are built around doing not looking.

It is no surprise for you to hear that I know in my heart that someone striving for physical improvements will never meet their potential if  their workouts are not focused on performing  better. When someone asks me how to drop weight or feel better all around my first thought is that they need to learn to move better.

Quad development is something I can speak to. My quad development is the sum of a dose of genetics + dance + functional and plyo training. I have not done a single leg extension or loaded my spine up with substantial weight and squatted as far back as I can recall. For MANY reasons.

STACK is a multimedia company whose goal is to “provide athletes with expert information, advice, and drug-free ways to enhance their performance”. We ARE ALL ATHLETES in my view. We all need to be able to move our best as busy moms, navigate through this messy fun life with the utmost ease and finesse, and age is a way that we are ever-able to to do the things we love doing, safely. Well on this the last day of the cleanse I weighed in at the gym at 222 and that's 11 lbs lighter than April 1'st ! I know this wasn't the primary objective of the cleanse but I'm pleased just the same. This was all accomplished without ever feeling hungry! But the best of all is I learned how to shop , eat , and I now have the confidence and desire to continue this healthy lifestyle forever! Oh ya I plan to allow myself cheat days or cheat meals every so often . The accountability & team comradery of the group was big for me.
