It is the utmost pleasure and reward when I have the opportunity to work with a driven client who wholeheartedly believes in my philosophy and follows my programming to a “T”.  Marissa’s work ethic, drive, and focus is commendable! In her words….

Oh how I wish I had figured this out sooner-2 years ago with my third daughter just about 10 months old, I was eager to get back into my regular gym routine that I had followed my whole life. Blessed to have grown up in an athletic family, playing sports and exercise were central to our everyday lives. However, I started to feel like I was literally running in circles. Logging miles on the treadmill and moving from station to station in the weight circuit.

EVERYTHING that I do is full throttle, and as hard as I was working I didn’t have the look that I felt that I deserved. I saw Jen training some clients in the gym and told her “I want to do that”. That was the day that EVERYTHING changed. Jen told me something during our initial consultation that I find myself repeating to others “It is all about creating a new normal for your body. Then when you deviate from the norm, on occasion, and have a cheat meal or take a vacation from your workouts, your body naturally gravitates back to that new normal” Wow – is this ever true.

I am fortunate to workout with Jen 2-3 times per week. On the other 2-3 days that I am on my own, I do the EXACT style of training that I do when I am with her and with the same intensity. Why wouldn’t I? IT. JUST.WORKS. Taking the time, the effort, the good days, and the bad to really make a change almost two years ago, means everything to me now.

I have never felt so good, I have never been as strong, I have never been as fast, and I have never looked so lean. When you get it, you get it. Jen gets it, and I am forever grateful to her for challenging and inspiring me. I AM AN ATHLETE!  – Marissa Christie
